Subsidy Sources
To make housing affordable and accessible for those in need, Sheehan Landing utilizes a combination of subsidy sources that assist with rental payments and support long-term stability:
- HUD CoC Rental Assistance: This program provides funding to help individuals and families experiencing houselessness afford rent. It may also include additional support services, such as case management, to help residents achieve long-term stability and self-sufficiency.
- LMHA Special Referral Vouchers (Housing Choice Vouchers or Section 8): These vouchers assist low-income families in securing rental housing by paying a portion of the rent directly to the landlord. Eligible residents pay the remaining amount of rent, helping them find and maintain stable housing.
Supportive Services at Sheehan Landing
Support is at the core of Sheehan Landing’s mission. In addition to on-site case management, residents have access to a wide range of supportive services provided by our partner organizations, including St. John Center. Through partnerships with organizations like Dare to Care, Seven Counties Services, Peace Hospital, Kept, Legal Aid, TARC, and the Kentucky Harm Reduction Coalition, we ensure our residents will have the resources they need to address every aspect of their health, legal, and social well-being.
For more information on these services, please visit the St. John Center’s website.
